International singing sensation Charice Pempengco was invited by the Washington D.C. staff to perform in Barack Obama’s, the 44th Black American President of the United States’, pre-inaugural ceremony on January 18, 2009 (today). Charice Pempengco will be singing two songs, God Bless America and One Moment in Time by Whitney Houston, of which were chosen by Obama’s staff.
The Filipino’s pride said in an interview that it has been a dream come true for her and that she’s very happy to be performing in front of the President of the United States. When asked what she’s going to say if she gets the chance to speak to the US president, she replied: “Just wanna say thank you for making this dream come true. This is not only an honor for me, but also for the Philippines. Thank you.”
