Alexis Cohen – Former American Idol Contestant Found Dead

News broke that the former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen, also known as the “Glitter Girl”, was found dead at 4 a.m. this morning in Seaside Heights, NJ. The 25-year-old American Idol Season Seven contestant’s body was found lying on the street and the cause of her death was believed to have been a hit and run accident. An investigation on her death is still ongoing and an autopsy is scheduled for today.

Just a day before her accident, Alexis Cohen uploaded a video to Funny or Die on Friday, t’was probably the last piece she ever did after being denied a golden ticket to Hollywood three times. The former American Idol contestant was known for her eccentric look, likening herself to a pirate, saying “I like things that shine,” and continuing with “I’m a lady.”
