Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy is calling it quits

After spending 5 long years together, celebrity couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy announced earlier that they are calling it quits. The rumored break up between the comedy actor and model was confirmed by an entertainment news source and announced by Jim Carrey on his official twitter account. According to a statement released by Carrey’s publicist Marleah Leslie, “Jim and Jenny have recently decided to end their five year relationship. They are grateful for the many blessings they have shared and wish each other the very best.”

Carrey’s tweet says, “Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>.” McCarthy then tweeted, “Im so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane [Carrey's daughter] and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.” What could possibly be the reason why the couple split up? Was there a third party involved? Maybe or maybe not! The tweet did surprise everyone as the low profile couple seems too secretive about their relationship that Jim publicly announced that they were ending their relationship to the world. Some thought that it was just another of Jim’s April fools joke but then it’s true. Jim even posted a follow-up twitter message saying, “Jenny my Love, you’ve stolen my heart, my soul and of course anything you find in my pants.”

In recent years, Carrey and McCarthy did advocate for the causes of autism, supporting and defending medical researchers who believed the disease was caused by vaccines. McCarthy’s son Evan was diagnosed with the disease in 2005, a disclosure that strained her first marriage to actor/director John Asher. The couple has been very outspoken about not getting married, but their bond was too tight that the two even considered walking down the aisle, but this time, that dream would no longer be coming true.
